This is an early Orthey autoharp, number 120. It is in need of some TLC, but right out of the case it plays well.
There is a poorly repaired split in the back which does not affect the structural integrity or sound.
Some of the wound strings are guitar strings. A new wound set is a good idea.
This instrument has been around the block, and shows wear. It has been worked on a few times by past owners, and was built before the time George began using fine tuners.
If someone wants to put a little work into this, it is a very nice very early example of George's work. It comes with extra chord bars and extra bar holders.
