On the treble side you will see the most common placement for a strap button on the edge at number 1.
The most common placement on the bass side edge is shown at number 3.
For those who would like to hold the autoharp in a very upright position, number 2 works well.
If you are in doubt, it does not hurt to have a button in both the number 1 and number 2 position.
